Dear Friends of Eastern European Renewal:

This letter will be short because I’m going to England for 3 weeks this morning.

I’ll write in more detail when I get back.

Since I wrote last I’ve been working in Bulgaria, Canada, Switzerland. In Canada I got a bug, which was joined by a Swiss bug, making me very sick for the last 3 weeks. Now I’m on antibiotics and starting to feel better. Mary is well.

We had another clerical misunderstanding with the Swiss government, which has costs us another $9000. The Lord gave us some savings and He can restore them if we need them. I got rid of the car. It had no sale value but the company I bought it from handled all the paper work for me. It is a big help not to have the expense of the car.

The work in the Church in Lausanne goes well. We are in a series of sermons on the Sermon on the Mount and finding it very challenging. While thinking through the Beatitudes I wrote a group of Post-Modern Beatitudes, which I will attach. What do you think? In Basel we’ve started an "Apologetics" class in the Brethren Assembly. 8 students came to the first lesson and it seemed a profitable time. Perhaps more will come, even though they will hear that homework is involved.

The time in Canada was excellent and rich, although we had –38C temperatures. I gave a 90 minute recorder concert with a keyboard player, which seemed to have been the entire concert season of the town.

In Switzerland I taught in 2 YWAM schools at the same time last week. This was a first adventure of this kind and it seemed to go very well.

The time in England should be very full and rich. I’ll tell you about it when I get back.

Thank you all who pray and who support the work. You are needed and appreciated.

God bless and keep you.

Yours in Christ,

Ellis
