Dear All:
Doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, Mary and I decided it is too dangerous for Mary to live at home anymore. This is because of her physical weakness and increasing on and off confusion. So, today she moved to the hospital wing of a large retirement residence in downtown Basel. We have a friend who works as a nurse there and other friends who live nearby. The people there are very sweet and the care is excellent. I could go with her on the move and help settle her in, meet the doctor, nurse, physiotherapist and others. I could do her laundry in the afternoon and will take it back this early evening.
The timing of this is amazing as I must go to England tomorrow for 8 days of teaching and can go in peace knowing Mary is in a good place, which she likes. She would love to hear from you. The visiting hours are from 11 to 8.
Thank you very much who prayed for Mary and me during this difficult time. It is still a hard time of adjustment for both of us.
